It's only fair if you know a little bit about me...
Hi! I'm Danielle (she/her) and I have spent a majority of my life working with children, adolescents and young adults. I developed a passion for this population at a young age through my experiences as a babysitter and camp counselor. Post-college graduation, I began my professional career as a 2nd grade teacher in Harford County, MD. During my three years as an educator, I realized I was more passionate about helping children with their emotional challenges rather than teaching them the academic curriculum. I later transitioned to higher education, where I spent close to 10 years working as an admission counselor guiding students throughout the college admissions process.
It wasn’t until I found the mental health field that I found what I feel I was truly meant to do in this world. It was a perfect way to blend all of my experience into one and do what I am truly passionate about, which is being there to support and help others. I’ve found that my way of talking to people and getting them to open up (especially kids) is a unique talent.
As a therapist, I believe that you need to move at your own pace. I will create a safe space for you and support you on your own unique journey. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand how your thoughts impact your life. I am here to help you identify your own personal goals and will work with you every step of the way to achieve success.
Outside of therapy, I am a wife and a mom of two little ones under the age of four. I love working out, dancing, playing sports, playing board games and all things Minions. I enjoy the beach, traveling and experiencing new things. I am a kid at heart who loves spending time with my family and friends. I am grateful I get to spend my days with my family and also build my relationships with my clients.
Let's Talk
The first step in therapy is talking. Let's find a time where we can connect and find out if we are a good fit.
