No surprises!

Let’s walk through what it costs and how payment works.

Finding a therapist is all about finding the right fit! You want to feel comfortable and confident with the person you are entrusting with the personal details of your life. Before getting started, I invite you to a complimentary 1 hour consultation for us to connect and get to know each other a little bit. Setting up this calls does not require you to work with me. Use as much or as little of this time to learn more about my style, ask any questions and see if I am the type of therapist you are seeking. At the same time, I will also use our time together to see if I am the best person to help you. At the end of this conversation, I always tell people they have three options:

*Schedule an intake session to start working together

*Take time to consider the next steps and reach out when ready

*Ask for referrals if another provider may be a better fit

Fees

Initial Consultation (up to 60 minutes)

I offer a complimentary initial consultation. My goal is for us to determine if we are a good fit and for you to feel comfortable.

Individual Session (53 minutes)

The intake and all sessions thereafter will cost $250 per session.

Everything you need to know about paying for sessions

  • Self Pay

I am a self-pay (out-of-network) provider, which means I don’t bill insurance companies directly and payment is due at the time of each session.  During the intake process you will fill out the necessary forms and this includes adding a credit card on file. Clients can use a credit card or FSA/HSA card. Cards will be charged after the session.

Many clients choose self-pay therapy because it allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and collaboration in their care. Without insurance limitations, we’re able to focus fully on what’s most helpful for you.

  • Using Insurance Benefits

If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be able to receive partial reimbursement for your sessions.

I’m happy to provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, based on your specific plan.

  • Things to Keep in Mind

*Insurance reimbursement varies by plan and is not guaranteed.

*You’re responsible for checking your out-of-network benefits with your insurer.

*Reimbursement, if approved, is paid directly to you.

If you have questions about fees, self-pay, or how superbills work, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to help make this process as smooth as possible.
